living slowly - with intention
Reflections on slow, intentional consumption and living.
What does it mean to consume intentionally? consciously?
Yes with products that we buy, but also how we go about our day - eating and consuming.
Water rituals and water practices - when consuming water how much nourishes us and feeds us ?
Playing with the concept of fasting, - I don’t like that term - but the concept of fasting requires intentional use of water - how it nourishes and sustains us.
Fasting vs Eating,
When consuming liquids, water, able to absorb most of the plant, the herb.
Allowing it to infuse in our bodies, to activate fully without the noise and clutter of dense food, that has the potential to pollute our waters.
With how much non-organic food contains, how easy it is to become addicted to food.
Consumption - from the products we buy, to what we wear, to how much we spend, to what we are drawn to - all begins and stems from our gut, in our food, in the relationship we have with eating, consumption and how we nourish ourselves.
No wonder we live in a society where endless overconsumption is the norm and buying what we don’t actually need becomes so easy to do.
In terms of clothing, the intention behind a piece of clothing, how it is made and the intention behind it allows this energy to be infused into the clothing itself.
what we need, how we feed.
We meal plants the seed, of what we want to populate and breed.
Products that support slow, intentional use and consumption.
